I Bless You
I got together with some friends and had seven gifts I wanted to give them. These gifts would provide a backdrop for testifying about what God had been doing. It was a real encouragement for us, and I wanted to bless you with those things. Here they are:
Sweet Peace
*Psalm 29:11 “The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.” So may you have sweet peace today.
Crazy Favor
*Psalm 31:16 “Let your favor shine on your servant.” I have a disco ball in my office (true story!), and every time the sun rises over the horizon, it hits that ball, and all of a sudden, sparkles of light fill the room. And that’s like the Lord’s favor on us. It’s not just a hidden thing. When He is in our lives, when His glory and favor shine on our lives, we sparkle. So that’s what I pray for you…for sparkliness. We are (Isaiah 61) “a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.” So shine as the Lord favors you.
Amazing Grace
*Psalm 84:11 “For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” So receive His amazing grace.
Push-Through Power
*Isaiah 40:29 “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” So if you’re feeling weak, if you’re feeling powerless, receive His power.
*2 Peter 1:3 “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself through His marvelous glory and excellence.” So receive that just from knowing the Lord, just from being His. Receive the breakthrough and the push-through power you need for the very situation you’re wrestling with now.
Uncommon Wisdom
*Proverbs 2:6 “For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
*Acts 6:10 “None of them could stand against the wisdom and the Spirit with which Stephen spoke.” That same wisdom Stephen had is available to us. So we ask for that wisdom, Lord, the uncommon wisdom.
Fear-Crushing Love
*1 John 4:18 “Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear.”
*Zephaniah 3:17 “For the Lord, your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With His love, He will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
*Romans 8:38 “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” No fear can stand against the love of the Father. So may you know that love. Behold…take it all in and sit there for a while to ponder it…what manner of love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God for that is who we are. (1 John 3:1)
Perfect Timing
*Romans 5:6-8 “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” I feel like you can say, “at just the right time… Christ…!” While we still didn’t have a clue, while we didn’t know how it was going to get fixed, while we didn’t know how it was going to come through, how things were going to be resolved…at just the right time…Christ.
*Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There’s an opportune time to do things, a right time for everything on the earth.” So I pray God’s blessing on you for just the right time, the perfect timing, and knowing what that timing is or walking in faith until you do, being faithful in your calling.
So these are the gifts that I pray for you today, that you would receive from the Lord: His Perfect Timing, His Fear-Crushing Love, His Uncommon Wisdom, His Push-Through Power, His Amazing Grace, His Crazy Favor, and His Sweet Peace. I love you guys!
