Congregational Voices

I was rehearsing the team and we were deciding how to arrange a song. I said, “I like to include moments in the arrangement that must be carried by the congregation’s voices. Like if we arrange the music so that we don’t rely on their voices to complete the ‘sound,’ they may receive the unintentional message that we don’t need them to sing. At that point, it’s just a concert.”

When you are arranging this week’s music, create space for the congregation to hear each other and carry parts of the song.
