I live out my passion for authentic, Christ-honoring worship in the local church by serving with Ad Lib Music as a Worship Coach. I deeply resonate with our compelling mission to support churches, worship leaders, and their teams: “In simple love and pure devotion to Jesus, we are eradicating isolation and burnout so that leaders bear much fruit.” Reflecting on my time in church ministry makes clear how empowering it would have been to have had a network of coaches and worship leaders to lean on for emotional and spiritual strength, and to share resources and ideas with each other.
The practical approach I use in coaching worship teams is a result of the wisdom and experience gained through many years “in the trenches.” I have much to offer to worship teams regardless of their age or size.
I’ve been in local church worship ministry since 1995. I was first hired on a part-time basis to lead worship at a church plant named Community Fellowship Church in Lancaster. My role continued to increase as the church grew, going full-time as Worship Pastor in 2000. By the time I left in 2006, the church had grown, built their first building, and the worship team had increased from 5 team members to over 30.
Then I served at Hopewell Christian Fellowship in Morgantown as Pastor of Worship Ministries from August 2006 to October 2012. By God’s grace, I was able to smoothly transition the leadership of the worship ministry to one of the in-house worship leaders! I'm currently the Pastor of Music at Washington Avenue Bible Church in Ephrata, PA.
Over the years I’ve led worship in many churches, conferences, church nights at sporting events for WJTL, mission trips, Hopewell Network pastors’ meetings, and retreats. I’ve also been one of the artists featured on two compilation albums produced by WJTL.
I’m happily married to Carmen, and one of my greatest passions in life is being a great father to our eight children by following the ultimate example of fatherhood, Jesus Christ. We live in the cozy borough of Strasburg, Pennsylvania.
