My goal and passion is to lead churches to identify and practically, enthusiastically live out Jesus' dream for their church. Jesus builds the church and the body of Christ manifests itself in many different ways.
My years of ministry experience give me a global perspective on Worship Ministry as a part of the whole church: Student Ministry (10 years), Worship Leader (23 years), Executive Team Member (9 years). I have led churches from 150 to 14,000 in attendance and I understand that churches need different things at different times and have real world experience in breaking common growth barriers.
With church growth comes the need for improved or new facilities. I have been intimately involved in multiple building campaigns and fundraising campaigns. As a part of this, I served on teams that oversaw the building of various auditoriums and supporting spaces including 500-600 seat auditoriums, 1200 seat auditorium, and 2300 seat auditoriums.
I have served on church staffs with two people and a church staff with 120 people. At LCBC, I have led our team to grow from a worship staff of one to over thirty. In all of my ministry settings, I have developed Worship Ministry budgets that fit inline with church's overall goals. I have participated in every level of church leadership and can help you learn how to communicate effectively with: senior pastor, Worship Ministry Teams, congregation, and Elder Boards or deacons.
Healthy Worship Ministries are built on teams, not just talent. I have learned the best practices of building teams that deliver excellence week in and week out. Some practices I employ to keep Worship and Arts Ministry exciting rather than exhausting are: Ministry Calendar Planning, Personal Calendar Planning, and Using New Technology to Reduce Rehearsal Time.
I grew up and served at multiple churches in Texas until moving to Pennsylvania with my wife Terry and two children Ethan and Avry in 2000 to be a part of LCBCchurch, where I currently serve as the Executive Worship and Arts Pastor. Years later, God continues to challenge and grow my view of His church.
